As you all know, Stacey competed in the PF Chang's Rock n Roll Marathon on January 13, 2008 in Phoenix, AZ.
Over 34,000 people competed in the marathon (26.2 miles) and 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles). Stacey ran the full marathon.
My mom and I traveled with Stacey to cheer him on. We saw him at mile 8 making great time. We saw him again at mile 19,
but he said that his leg was killing him (reaggravated a shin splint we think). We saw him cross the finish line
in a lot of pain, but he made it! He was shooting for a time of 3hrs 30min, but because of injury finished
at 4 hrs 27 min. (still awesome for his 2nd marathon).
We just want to thank everyone who donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training and
for everyone's support! Here are a few pictures of the trip....
