Leaf-cutter Ants - Although these small ants are barely visible in this photo, their comparatively huge cargo of cut leaves is always evident as lines of them move along the jungle floor, sometimes coincidentally across a man-made trail or along it for several hundred feet. The ultimate destination is a huge nest where the ants grow fungus on the bits of leaf for food.
